- Type: different types of game, skirmish is the choice you want for maps

- Use existing map: whether to use an existing SCMAP/save for this map
- Map file: the location of the map that you want to reuse
- Create new map: whether to create a new blank map
- Width/Height: what width height to use for the map, recommend keeping these values equal with each other and not using any values below 256
- Initial elevation: the starting elevation for the map
- Water: whether to use water on this map
- Water elev.: the height at which water starts covering terrain
- Deep elev.: the elevation at which the water looks deeper than normal
- Abyss elev.: the elevation at which the water looks like an abyss
